Music City: Nashville 2015

Hey y'all! I know it has been a while since my last post, but I have been busy with school and such. Anyways, it was my birthday the last weekend in February and I decided to take some of my closest friends to celebrate in Nashville Tennessee! Let me tell you it was a wonderful weekend! We stayed at the Hyatt Place located at 301 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 3720. It was the perfect location. It was two blocks from Broadway. About a block from the Bridgestone Arena and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We walked every where except to the Parthenon. The hotel was perfect for our group size because our room was equipped with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Nashville is a very small city and it is very affordable. We traveled from late February 26th and came home in the afternoon on Sunday March 1st.

Day 1: Friday morning we decided walk around Nashville checking out some of the shops. There are a lot of boot shops which was perfect because me and one of my friends were looking for a pair of cow girl boots :).  After a few hours we decided to have a quick lunch at B.B. Kings. Which was our most expensive meal. After that we walked back to our hotel and dropped off our leftovers and went to check out some of the local live music venues on Broadway. At that point me and my friend bought our cow girl boots. It was buy one pair get two free (hard to pass up that deal). Later that afternoon we took a little nap to prepare for our night out in Music City. We hit Tootsies, Honky Tonk and other bars on Broadway.
Day 2: The second day we had a some what of a short day. We decided to sleep in. That afternoon we made our way to the Parethenon. It was a beautful replica of the one that resides in Greece. To get into the Parthenon was $7, and we didn't get to go inside because we got there so late in the day. That night for dinner we decided to go to Printers Alley. It looked like a mini Bourbon street. We ate at a restaurant called Fleet Street Pub. The food was ok, but it was a bang for your buck. Our last night there we hit some of the same places that had live bands. My favorite band that I saw was Smoke n Guns you can check out there music here http://www.smokengunsmusic.com
They played some good tunes some good tunes! My final stop of the night was Margaritaville.
I wish that we could have stayed one more day just so we could have checked out the Bluebird Cafe, Grand Ole Opry and walk through the Johnny Cash Mueseum. It's a fun place to go to for bachelorette parties, birthdays, or just a girls weekend!
Hope y'all have a wonderful week and thanks for reading!
With love,
Jess
